Moon white or workshop grey?

Both arrive unpainted and unprimed. The only wrong choice is leaving it on the shelf forever because you cannot decide on a colour scheme.

Moon White PLA

A bright foundation for vivid colours, pastels and clean graphic schemes.

Best for beginners and colourful characters

Workshop Grey PLA

Neutral mid-grey makes highlights, shadows and surface detail easier to read.

Best for darker palettes and experienced painters

Choose your canvas

Every model is printed in one colour, hand-tidied and made only after you order.

From blank beast to masterpiece

A little preparation goes a long way

Your model is ready for your creative process, not coated in something mysterious. We leave primer choice to you so it works with your preferred paints.

  1. 01

    Wash

Gently wash with mild soapy water and allow it to dry completely.

  2. 02

    Prepare

Lightly sand any support marks you would prefer to soften.

  3. 03

    Prime

Use thin coats of a PLA-compatible hobby primer in a ventilated space.

  4. 04

    Paint

Build water-based acrylic colour in thin layers and enjoy the peculiar details.

Painter-readyNot secretly pre-painted.

Things painters quite reasonably ask

Bestiary notes

Will the layer lines show?+

Yes. These are FDM printed PLA models, so fine layer lines are part of the surface. Primer, sanding and thoughtful paint effects can soften or celebrate them.

Which paints should I use?+

Water-based hobby acrylics are the simplest choice. A suitable primer improves adhesion and gives you a consistent painting surface.

Does the model need assembly?+

The launch collection arrives as complete models. If a future larger design requires assembly, the listing will say so clearly and include instructions.

Can children paint them?+

The models are decorative artist pieces intended for ages 14+. They may contain delicate points or small details and are not sold as toys.
